Dana Mendenhall

• 1972 as a warehouse person and area rug maker/binder. Then onto a Galaxy Carpet Mills territory rep in 1980.
• Our father, Don Mendenhall, worked for Myron Cornish Co beginning 1949. As top sales performer, he then started his own flooring/ceiling company 1959. Eventually developing ‘CarpeTalk’ store system in late 60’s thru the 70’s.

Gary Mendenhall

• I started working in the warehouse in 1970 and moved to sales in 1977.
• My father was in the flooring business and started his own company in 1959, Don Mendenhall’s Flooring Coverings. In 1968 he bought the flooring company that he started at 1950, which consisted of 3 Stores. In 1971 he started Carpetalk, Inc.  And that grew to 48 stores in 3 States, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. He sold the company in 1976.
• Gary has spent 47 years in the flooring business in Sales & Manufacture’s Rep. I’ve been to countless Mills and learned how flooring was made, Ceramic, Harwood, Sheet Vinyl and Tile & Carpet. 
• I love selling and talking to the customers. When the job is finished and the customer is thrilled, that is when I’m the happiest.
• I like all flooring products because each one has it’s own set of challenges. Which makes it fun!
• My morning beverage is 2 cups of coffee before I come to work.
• I live in a condo, so I have no pets.

Steve Ellis

• What year did you start working in the flooring industry?  - I started working for my older brothers back in 1996 when I was 16 years old. I worked alongside both of them through high school and then became full time after I graduated.
• Does your family have history in the industry? Two of my older brothers are still in business as of this day. 
• What is you favorite part of the job? Meeting new people and helping them get the desired floors they’ll Enjoy and Love for many years. 
• What is your favorite product to work with?  In the past I would have voted for carpeting, but now a days I’d say whatever the customer likes and would best serve their family. 
• What is your morning beverage of choice? Coffee or Orange juice
• Do you have any pets? Our family currently has 4 Pets. One Dog named Rascal. Three cats:  Mr. Grey,  Shadow & Chupa. All rescued animals. 
• What other relevant information should we know? I am a loving father of 6 children. Jacob, Natasha, Jared, Anastasia, Steven Jr & Sophia.

Steve Baker

Julie Baker-Modovan

Jill Isaacson

• What is your favorite product to work with? I DON’T HAVE ONE. HOWEVER, I DO LIKE THE LOOK OF LAMINATE AND THE WARMTH OF CARPET.

• Do you have any pets? YES, I HAVE 2 FEMALE PITBULLS. “THE GIRLS” IS WHAT I CALL THEM BUT THEIR NAMES ARE LULU AND EMPORESS!!!

• What other relevant information should we know? I’ve been with Buddy’s since 2007 and I have worked at three other locations prior to arriving at Buddy’s FA Northgate nine years ago. We opened a brand new location in a market that we had vacated during the financial crisis. Nine years later Northgate is strong and growing. I’m thankful to play a part in its success

Mia Johnson

• My father has installed a few rooms of flooring on his own but other than that, I am the family flooring expert. 😊

• My favorite part of my job is meeting new people, and their pets!  I love making new business relationships with people who trust me to take care of them!
• My favorite product to work with is definitely LVT.  But I actually sell a lot more carpet.  LVT being the newest thing out in the industry, means there’s still innovation being made.  I like to read and learn about everything new in the LVT industry.  Changes mean challenges and I really enjoy them.
